Air Cargo CTOs Update
Following a relatively orderly peak season with minimal disruption and delays, the CTOs report that post-Christmas and New Year, their terminals are all operating normally, without backlogs or truck queues.
This is a positive outcome given the issues our industry has encountered in previous peak season periods. The CTOs are charging for their service and customers have a right to expect reliable, timely and efficient service.
Unfortunately for some CTOs, their terminals and infrastructure are limited by the airport authorities inertia in providing adequate space for the air cargo industry to operate on a ‘first world’ basis, which most major international airports provide in other countries.
