Are you ready for the 2019 – 2020 BMSB Stink Bug Season

Here are some simple steps to help you get ready…

  • Are you importing goods from a BMSB risk country?
  • 2. Are your goods considered:
    A) Target High Risk Goods? –  Mandatory Treatment Required
    B) Target Risk Goods? – Increased onshore intervention through inspections
  • 3. If yes to the above, has your goods been treated by an approved treatment provider as approved by the Australian Department of Agriculture and Water (DAWR) agriculture.gov.au/bmsb-offshoretreatmentproviders
This link will take you to the Treatment Providers Scheme information page.
  • 4. Has your supplier contracted a local treatment provider that needs to be registered with DAWR, as they will need to register at the above link.(Have them register early and avoid delays)
If you import goods that have not been treated offshore, goods will require treatment and/or inspection upon arrival prior to release for FCL.

Breakbulk and Flatracks must be treated offshore, or they may require to be re-exported.
